Basic Beginnings and a Bright Future
Ideal Movers began in 1994 at Brent’s parents’ house where we began with a pickup and a trailer. Brent would work a full-time job all week and do estimates during the evenings. Move jobs would take place every weekend. Brent bought his first straight truck after a month or so. In 1997, we built our storage facility at 10 Mill Valley Road, Hadley. By this time, we had over five trucks and many employees. In 2004, four more buildings were added to our Hadley facility. In 2018, we built the beautiful four-building facility 247 Greenfield Road (Routes 5&10) in South Deerfield. Currently, we are looking to the future by constructing a three-story temperature-controlled building at 14 South Maple Street in Hadley.

Since our company’s inception in the spring of 1994, our philosophy has been to build an organization where our reputation would be the foundation from which we would grow. We have always understood and continue to take very seriously the trust others place in us, whether they are referring their family, their friends or their clients, we know that expectations are high. By staying focused on what is important to each individual customer and holding firm to our belief of consistently providing the fundamentals, we have maintained an 87% referral client base.
Although we are proud of what we have accomplished, we are equally grateful for the opportunities afforded us. There has been nothing more rewarding than watching our business grow based upon principles and beliefs we feel to be important.
